Psychodynamic Approaches in Clinical Practice: A One Year Evening Program
The Psychodynamic Approaches in Clinical Practice program is designed specifically for mental health practitioners and educators who want to enhance their clinical knowledge, skill, and competence. The program offers an excellent foundation in psychoanalytic thought, and is useful for those who are considering analytic training in the future.
This program also offers an optional clinical component for qualified practitioners, in which students see patients in the NIP Treatment Center.
Dates & Times For The 2024-2025 Academic Year
Wednesdays, 6:00 pm – 8:45 pm (September through June/July)
Program Length
The program includes one year of study, which is comprised of two 16-week semesters
Continuing Education
The National Institute for the Psychotherapies is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0018.
The National Institute for the Psychotherapies is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychoanalysts #Psyan-0004.
The National Institute for the Psychotherapies is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education credits for psychologists. The National Institute for the Psychotherapies maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
In 2024 - 2025, this program will provide 35 CE contact hours.
