A Comprehensive Postgraduate Psychoanalytic Certificate Program

The National Training Program in Contemporary Psychoanalysis (NTP) of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) is a comprehensive postgraduate psychoanalytic certificate program designed for qualified mental health practitioners throughout the United States and around the world. This program was designed with two groups of candidates in mind:

Those licensed mental health professionals who live or work in a geographic area where psychoanalytic training is unavailable or inadequate; or because of work or family responsibilities cannot take advantage of a traditionally-structured psychoanalytic institute.

The program provides candidates with the opportunity to study with outstanding clinicians and teachers, many of whom have national and international reputations.

The National Training Program in Contemporary Psychoanalysis is under the administrative umbrella of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP). NIP, dedicated to the training of mental health professionals for over 40 years, is a non-profit educational institution chartered in 1972 by the Board of Regents of the State University of New York. NIP is an equal opportunity organization. The Institute admits students of any age, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, physical disability, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the Institute.
